AMTAC Panel Membership
AMTAC Panelists are senior practitioners and arbitrators with experience in international arbitration in the maritime or transport field. As a Commission of ACICA, all AMTAC Panelists must be ACICA Fellows. AMTAC Panel Members receive a reduced rate for ACICA & AMTAC seminars and events, as well as news and other updates in relation to the organisation’s activities.
AMTAC Panel members are listed on both the ACICA and AMTAC websites.
In addition to meeting the ACICA Fellow Member Criteria, applicants should be able to demonstrate extensive arbitration experience, including practical experience, either as counsel or arbitrator in an international arbitration context in the maritime and transport field.
Prospective AMTAC Panel Members may complete an application form on the ACICA website to apply for Fellow and AMTAC Panel membership. Applicants will also need to send a copy of their CV, outlining relevant experience, and two or more signed references, in the form of the ACICA Fellow Referee Form from appropriate referees, to secretariat@acica.org.au. All applications for AMTAC Panel membership must be approved by the ACICA Executive and Board and the AMTAC Executive.
ACICA Fellow membership fee is AUD400 (exclusive of GST) per year. If GST applies, the fee is $440 per annum. The AMTAC Panel membership fee is an additional AUD100 (exclusive of GST) per annum (total of AUD500 exclusive of GST). If GST applies, the additional payment will be $110, with the total fee being $550 per annum. Payment may be made online by credit card (a 2.5% charge applies) or offline by EFT or cheque.
Current ACICA Fellows interested in joining the AMTAC Panel should contact the ACICA Secretariat for more information.
